More Data Protection Officers needed
Many more ICT companies than expected are required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. This is evidenced by an investigation by the Netherlands ICT.
The European Data Protection Ordinance, which will come into force in May 2018, requires a large number of organizations to appoint a Data Protection Officer. A survey of the Netherlands ICT among more than 200 organizations shows that 44 percent of them should have a Data Protection Officer. “That’s much more than we expected,” a spokesman for the Netherlands told ICT.
